CUSP

ARE YOU FEELING OVERWHELMED WITH THE IDEA OF HOMESCHOOLING?

Parenting, teaching, and working over the last few months has been nothing short of a juggling act. The experts at CUSP can help you get started on the right foot this Fall.
ELIMINATE ADDITIONAL STRESS
With many schools implementing a distance learning model as a result of Covid-19, both parents and children are presented with a myriad of problems in this new learning environment. CUSP has developed research-based strategies to help your child excel – not just “keep up” – during this already stressful time. Your child can actually have an academic advantage when schools reopen.
EMPOWER YOUR CHILD WITH ESSENTIAL SKILLS
CUSP provides customized solutions enabling your child to stay on task, pay attention, follow directions, ask for help, take proper notes, grasp content, complete assignments, and refrain from chatting or opening other tabs on the internet browser.
SET YOUR CHILD UP FOR SUCCESS
Our behavioral experts support on-task behavior with schedules of reinforcement, promote independent task completion with prompting strategies, identify errors in note taking, and shape more efficient and effective note taking with teaching programs.

LOCAL OPTION: FACILITATED POD

For families residing in Los Angeles County and Orange County, CUSP offers a Registered Behavior Technician to personally direct a group of up to four students in a Facilitated Pod. Allowing for much-needed flexibility, your Pod could include 1-4 children in the:

  • Same class
  • Same family, all in different distance learning classes
  • Same grade, but different classes

Sessions would be hosted in a family home – in a room or space that can safely accommodate the students and facilitator. Pod students can rotate host locations, providing parents a necessary break.

Your Pod Facilitator, a Registered Behavior Technician, will be responsible for:

  • Assuring student participation in distance learning sessions
  • Promoting independence through group learning and activities
  • Directing solo asynchronous learning
  • Implementing unique programming for each child targeting academic deficits or weaknesses
  • Facilitating group social/play opportunities during breaks

NATIONWIDE OPTION: EXPERT CONSULTATION

CUSP also offers virtual consultations with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to assess your child’s barriers to progress in a remote learning environment and develop a parent-implemented program to overcome these barriers.
